Well he twitched his mustaches
but she just shook her head, no,
the rain has stopped, streets are glistening
and it's time for you to go

And his watch it said 3:30
as the cabs all pulled away
he said I guess I'll just sit a while
and wait for judgment day

And the midwife heard him snoozing
his snores were quite profane
so she dragged him in and shut the door
it's closing time again

She poured herself a tall one
and stood him a whisky quite small
and asked him about his homeland
and was he designed to appall

Why in the hell is there cancer,

The gods? She said, are just stars,
